Green sediment in hot water laundry hose/filter
Hi, I have a green sediment/buildup in my laundry hose hot water line. The cold water line is not affected. It only builds up in my hot water line that leads to the laundry machine. It takes about 1 month to build up to the point where I have to clean the filter or else the hot water line is unusable for doing laundry. The material is chalky/milky green and it sometimes has a blue tint in it. Any advice?

I live on the 4th floor and we have a hot water boiler system. We do have copper pipes. I have notified the Homeowners association and they do not appear to be concerned.

Sounds like copper carbonate or an oxide. Comes from slow deterioration of the water lines, particularly noticed on hot. Check the aerators on the faucets too.
