    Trouble shoot fluorescent light
Installed new 8' fluorescent light and installed a pull switch to the line side supply and other wire to the ballast. Does not work!! Bad ballast or bad switch?

    Pretty vague.
    1. Try it without the switch.
    2. Check your voltage.
    3. Check the voltage of the fixture.
    4. Is this fixture properly grounded?
There are a lot of reasons flourescents don't work.
