Neither bathroom is draining. Septic tank and well.
We bought our house in October, before we moved in the septic tank was inspected and emptied. Everything was good, we also have a well. 2 days ago I was taking a shower and the toilet next to it started bubbling. Now neither toilet in the house will flush when I use the bathroom sink one or both of the toilets will bubble, when I try to plunge the toilet it will back up a little in the tub or you just hear the water sloshing in the tub drain. Kitchen sink towards front of the house works fine. Bought a 25 ft. Snake tried it on both toilets went fully in on one by tub only partly on the other but don't think it was the clog just couldn't get it through the turns and in the main line outside our kitchen window, no fix. Any ideas or help?

SyndellC, sounds like the pipe from the house going to the tank is clogged.
Might be lucky enough to have a cleanout access between house and tank. If so, needs to be cleaned from here. If not, I would contact your local sewer cleaning service To have pipes cleaned. Best of luck and Happy New Year. |

There should be a main clean out, sounds like a clog in one of the pipes going out of the house.
Also,normally septics need cleanout, only for slug that settles. The septic will have drain fields, that must work, to allow the liquids to go into the ground. Were those inspected? Is any water, pooling up above the septic tank? But it just sounds like the need for a clean out, of the pipes. Did the house sit for a long time unused? |

Most systems have a clean out but it could be inside just at the exterior wall. DO NOT UNCAP THE CLEAN OUT just yet. From what you describe there will be several gallons of sewage inisde your pipes up stream of the clean out. In a situation like this I first get a 1/8" drill bit and a 1/8" sheet metal screw. Drill a hole in the clean out cap. If sewage squirts out install the screw and prepare for a mess. Either call a pumber or get a large shop vac ready. Let me know how this goes

My bathroom tub gurgles when I have water draining from the bathroom sink.. In addition, I will occasionally get some black specks that will burp out of the sinks overflow drain hole.. Any suggestions on where to start looking to correct these problems?
The tub and bathroom sink will not drain. I have plunged and have used chemicals. This house is on a slab foundation and septic tank. All of the other plumbing in house is fine, ie: kitchen,washer,etc.
