    Sony handycam disc error
Sony dcr-dvd210 camera. Every mini dvd put into it results in a 'disc error' C:13:00. It does not recognise any of them. Discs are Sony dvd-rw, surely whole box is not bad?

Try other disks, such as previously recorded ones. Still the same error? Then its probably the camera.

See if the disk is a RW. Mine will not accept Rewritable discs either.

NEVER again will I buy a SONY product.

After recording on about 75 discs the camera no longer works... just keep getting disc error C:13:00

Now I can't access the memories I recorded. Worthless piece of s**t.

I just had this message hours before santa is due. Just read somewhere to clean the lens where the disc goes. There's a sticker saying not to do this but I used a fine cloth and went for it... camcorder is now reading discs again. Worth a try?

    Re: Sony DCR-DVD301 HandyCam

I can't say that I would NEVER again will I buy a SONY product, because they make very good products. When the camera works - it works GREAT!

But also for me just after recording on about 75 discs the camera no longer works... just keep getting disc error C:13:00

I purchased a can of the Electronics (compressed - gas) Duster. It is a lint & dust remover. Most people use it for cleaning desktop/laptop keyboards, but on the can it shows photos of a Desktop/Laptop/Stereo/and a CAMCORDER. I followed the simple instructions on the can and PRESTO - it worked just like new. No more Disc Error c:13:00.

The only thing that pissed me off was the fact that I had thought of it sooner. I borrowed a friends camcorder at various time for a year, when I could have used my own.

Hope it works for any that are having this issue.
