    Shower Mixer Recommendation Please
My shower mixer has stopped working. Can someone please recommend a good mid-range and reliable shower mixer brand and model?

    Thanks!

Good question. It is like asking what kind of car to buy. There are many shower mixer valves on market that will give you good service. My recommendation based on my personal experience would be one of the major US brands, like Price Pfister, Delta or Moen. All three brands are "middle-of-the-road" faucet, not too fancy, fairly priced, well made and all are backed up with excellent warranties. They can be purchased in big-box stores, like Home Depot or Lowe's.

If you want to go with something with sleeker design than I think Grohe would be a great choice. Grohe ( not to be confused with Hans Grohe brand ) is a household name in the US, it is reasonably priced faucet and replacement parts are available through local suppliers.

    Hope that helps

Hope this one is easy. The shower mixer valve broke off in my wife's hand. The home is about 14 years old. Should it be easy to replace? Anything tricky about it? It appears that you can simply unscrew it for a replacement. Thanks
