    Outlets Stopped Working in Kitchen
So, one day, I opened the fridge. The light in the fridge flickered then turned off. I looked around and noticed that the oven, microwave, everything in the kitchen was also off, but everything in the living room was still on. Walking around the house, I noticed it was all the outlets in the kitchen, storage room, and one outlet in the bathroom (the other one worked). Basically, the whole middle of the house lost power to the outlets. Living room and bedroom were fine. The lights still came on, it was just the outlets that stopped working. I used an extension cord for the fridge, using an outlet in the living room.
Well, for a couple weeks, things would turn on and off and it was usually when I opened the fridge everything would turn off, so I went to take out the light bulb and found it was loose, so I tightened it and everything came on. That worked for a while, but everything turned off again. We unplugged the microwave and everything turned back on. My boyfriend is convinced the microwave is somehow doing this.
Well, I plugged the microwave back in (wanted to use it) and everything shut off and hasn't come back on in a couple days. I unplugged it again, but still it's all off. What the heck is going on?

No, it is not the microwave. You have two lines coming into your home. Half of the circuits are on one line and half are on the other. Something is wrong with one of those lines. You will need an electrician to find and fix what ever is wrong. This is not something the average home owner can fix.
