I usually have regular periods but this month I saw blood strains 10 days earlier and its still there is been 6 days already my actual date for periods is on 23rd but I saw strains on 16th... usually only 1-3 days early I get my periods but every time its normal for 5days but these are only strains I am getting although I am not facing any othere health problems but yes I do have a lot of stress and 6 years ago I had an operation for removal of cysts on the outer wall of left ovary although I got a health check up recently and everything is fine now but I am still concerned. I am getting dark brown strains and I was on holiday last month and the place where I went had a very different temperature than mumbai. I am unmarried and I didn't have sex since 4 yrs I am 28yrs old.

Travelling can throw off your period, as can stress. Brown blood usually indicates old blood. Sounds like you're having an off month, which happens to every woman at least once in her life.

I would wait and see what happens next month when your period is due. Of course if you're concerned, a visit to your doctor is the logical step to take. Advice online is always just a guess.
