    Theft under $5000
    Hi
    My friend was charged under theft in Toronto by value of $ 700 now the question is how long it stays in records and with this records can he apply for U.S. immigration Family Class ? Pl. anyone help him cause he is in big tence.

    Unless he worked out some plea deal, some first offender program ( if he was) it will remain on his record forever.

    I bet he is tense. He might as well forget about US immigration and I gather it is a family outing to the US. Too bad. I assume he is not Canadian either, double trouble.
