    Sears furnace model number 867 736336
    Pilot light goes out after 1 cycle of running. Relights easy but continues to go out after 1 cycle. I used a metal brush to clean pilot and ajoining parts. I also tried adjusting the pilot light but with no help. Does anyone have any ideas what it could be and how to fix it? Thank You in advance. Tom

    Observe the burner(s) as the flame shuts down. If there is a "pop" or a smll flash of flame, it is possible you have a gas valve not operating properly. The main burner should shut down smoothly.
