I sold a used turbo and Intercooler for a subaru on craigslist
Buyer asked me to hold for one week no deposit
Came to my home reviewed the parts for his vehicle and was thrilled with price and condition of parts
Approx 8 hours later he is asking for a refund claiming it doesn't fit on his car a wants a refund
    Thoughts?

THe warranty expired the moment he left your property. Sales like this are as-is where-is. Meaning no returns.

He might just be trying to return his old bad one pretending it was your good used one. Unless you had it marked to prove otherwise. A common scam.

Tell the other person to put it on Craigslist.

When he was looking it over, did he ask you if he would be able to return it if it doesn't fit? Probably not.

He checked it out and took it. It is no longer your problem if it doesn't fit.

We never discussed a return plan
We did email a lot about where the turbo came from and he did ask specific questions about model type etc
Then took it home and says it didn't fit

Not your problem then. If you didn't lie or misrepresent it, he had time to check with his specific questions and all. I would be worried about him switching something out inside it or damaging it somehow and looking to return it.

    Thank you for your reply
Funny I did reach out to him

Don't feel bad, in my part of the woods, no one buys used Subaru parts. I had a well maintained Subaru outback that isn't dead yet, and going strong at almost 400,000k apparently and it was always treated right with original parts.
