Hi, I had protected sex with my boyfriend 3 months ago. After this I skipped a period and then had a very heavy period the next month. Then this month my period was late and was very light. I am usually very regular. I was wondering if there is any way I could be pregnant. We have not had sex since.

You will not get a period when you're pregnant. There are some women that bleed throughout pregnancy and mistake it for a period, but once you're pregnant you will cease to have your period during the pregnancy.

Are your periods normally regular, is this 3 months of one missed, one heavy, and one light period, rare for you?

To ease your mind try taking a pregnancy test. Make sure to use first morning urine for accuracy.

It sounds like your period has just been off. The only reason I would say to test is that one month of an off period does happen, but 3 months in a row, if you're normally very regular, is worth checking into in my opinion. At the very least it will put your mind at ease.
