I changed my thermostat (L248-80F) with a L250-40F and now it won't run. It ran before with the old one but just didn't heat up. Apparently the new thermostat caused some damage but I don't know what kind of damage. Why would it stop running now with the new one? The model is a magic chef model...

The fuse box is an old school with the 15 amp and 20 amp screw in fuses. Everything else in the house works and I have changed it out a ouple of times with a fuse that does work what would be my next step?

We changed a white rodgers thermostat out to a honewll round and now in order for the heater to come on you must first turn the fan to the "on" position.
