I recently got on probation for drinking under age. I was a severe alcohol and I'm only 20. This is my first time being in trouble as an adult. However, because of my alcohol abuse I was put on UA and I am not certain what type ETG OR ETS, all I am aware of is that it tests for alcohol. If I drink now will I pass if I take a UA in November I believe its on the third when I see my P.O? Can someone please help me understand so I can know my limits.

You are a self admitted alcoholic. You can't drink at all. Otherwise its like someone with a gambling addiction being OK going to a casino if they stick to the $0.25 slot machines.

Your limit is zero alcohol. Period.

1) You are an admitted alcoholic and
2) You are on probation.

We will not advise you any differently. You have a chance to turn your life around at such a young age. Take advantage of that.

Did you really think we were going to tell you that it's okay to drink as long as you don't get caught? You might be 20, but you have a lot of growing up to do.

Agreed. Your limit is zero consumption of alcohol. If you are prohibited from drinking, you will fail a UA sooner or later if you drink. I was a severe alcoholic as well, and my limit is also zero. Alcoholism is a disease that does not go away. It is a progressive disease, even after periods of abstinence, picking up the bottle again puts you right back where you were. For us alcoholics, it is not the last drink, but the first drink that does us in. Try 24 hours without... then another 24 hours, and so on, it is not as hard to do something (or not do it, rather) for 24 hours at a time. Perhaps try an AA meeting or two...
