My sister and I saw this movie back in October 1996 on TV. We just caught the end of it and think it may be a Halloween (Michael Myers) movie. It looked like it was from the 70s or 80s. In the last scene, two young white women were in a bedroom in a house and getting ready for bed. I think they were friends and having a sleepover. They laughed and teased each other, and then got in bed. One woman reached over to a nightstand with an old fashioned (1800s) looking table lamp on it. It was similar to a hurricane lamp, having a round white base, brass foot and middle cap, and white top. She turned it off, and when it was dark you could see waving tree shadows over her and the walls since it was near a window. She looked at it for a few seconds, then closed her eyes. A second later the camera zoomed in on the lamp, which started slowing glowing orange, and outside were crunching footsteps on the lawn and a man's heavy breathing. My sister remembers the Halloween theme starting up at this point, and the credits rolled. I've tried Google searches, but I just get ads for Halloween lights. I've also tried viewing the videos and summaries for the Halloween series on Youtube and Wikipedia, as well as the Friday The 13th and Amityville series, but I haven't found a match.
