    Lever Valve Galvanic Corrosion
15 year old house. All the lever valves have galvanic corrosion. I was able to get some of them to move using WD40. I have not been able to close at least 1. I'm afraid to put too much force on it.

What's the best way to remove this corrosion and what can I do to prevent it? It seems to originate with the handle. I can't tell if there's a nylon spacer but I think it might have started where the (steel?) lever touches the stop on the valve. Does this sound right? Searching on line I can't find any articles.

    Thanks,

    Bob

    Hello Bob,

Please make it a little clear what do you mean by lever valves, you mean the angle valves to the sinks toilets or something else, also if you post a picture of will be great, Thanks.
