F10 error code electrolux induction range.
Hi... I have an Electrolux induction range 40amps. It is free standing. I keep getting an F10 error code at random times of the day and night. It usually happens after I cook something on the cooktop. Instructions say to unplug the unit to reset and then reset the clock. I do that an still get an error code at random times... anywhere from one to four days later when range is not used.. Also... there is a number 3 inside of the lock icon on the display. Thank you, Bob

You have a bad oven sensor and also a problem with the door latch switch, and a corroded connection somewhere. Look at all of the connections to sensors and the circuit board. A bad ground can cause almost all of the problems. You need to check all sensors you find with a sensitive digital multimeter set to ohms. Make sure the unit is unplugged before doing any testing, and if you do any testing around a capacitor (on motors) always short out the terminals first. Unplug wires from a sensor before you test it and then check wires between the wire and ground to see if the wire is grounding when it should not be grounded. Check ground wires to see if there is any resistance. The meter should read "zero" or very close to it. Before doing any testing with a meter set to "ohms" check it by touching the leads together to get a baseline reading so you know what zero ohms looks like on your meter. Leads have some resistance. Here are some good manuals: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...Electronic.pdf
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...e%20Manual.pdf
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/...g_Diagrams.pdf (Look at this manual to see how to test a sensor. You may need to look up the part number to see what it is supposed to read at different temperatures because it is a thermistor, but many are the same.)
