    Indoor fan runs-Outside unit does do not - what should I check?

    Check the capacitor in the outside unit first. Look for any bulging on the top.

    Using a small stick, reach in a turn the fan blade while the fan motor is trying to start. If fan starts running, chances are that the capacitor is bad.
