Ok, so I misread, my night for that also,
So I have erased my stupid answer,
Will your niece let you keep the great niece till she gets her life corrected or has to deal with DCF. Perhaps a temp custody
And you can try and get your niece into some program if she wants to get help.

I think my boys are the best in the world, but in the end when one goes off the deep end and does something wrong I understand at times going to boot camp or detention may be the thing that they need to really make them change before they get into and do alot worst.
So beyond talk to her and try and get her help with her probem, there is little you can really do
Father Chuck,
I may be mistaken, but I believe the aunt wants to help her niece's child, since she said grand-niece. In other words, if mom's in trouble, what can she do to keep the next generation out of foster care. But I could be wrong.

LOL Fr-Chuck, for a split second I thought the same thing but then it click. Also, if DCFS are involved and asking for a uriner test there is more to this story. I don't think the aunt has any legal standing with DCFS but could qualify as a kinder foster parent.

OK first off I never said I thought my niece was right by any means... she is not on probation or anything. Her landlord is trying to get her out of his rental and called dcf out of spite trying to avoid legal actions that would cost him money to get her to move anyhow I am not by any means trying to justify her actions for failing a urine test for pot in fact this is actually my nephews ex girlfriend the mother of his kid... my question is how can I help the CHILD not the parent

No, you are not giving complete information, bits of pieces of a story, if someone has to take a drug test, what are we to think, if you don't tell us we have to assume the reason is the reason 90 percent take them, for probation.
If you do not wish to give a complete reason they need help, what is happening, we have to do a lot of guessing, And you did not specifiy how limited you wish to help.
And read your first questions, not worded well and leaving everyone to quess what is going on, and after several posts we still have no idea of what is happening.

Well I believe my first question is quit clear... all I was asking for is knowledge about helping my great niece concerning dcf (department of children and families) didn't realize I had to explain in great detail about why my niece was drug tested by dcf? My question is not in reference to helping the niece but is in reference to... can I HELP my GREAT niece from being placed in states custody... read my first request as I copy and paste so I don't change one word... what can I do to save my great niece from going to the state
