Along with minimal pregnancy symptoms and a growing lower abdomen and belly, I have been having some blood. When I first wake up, there is blood but after that there is nothing. Only first thing in the morning and it looks just like period blood but I am on seasonique (I have been on seasonique for about 2 years and never had break through bleeding before). If I am pregnant, is this a concern? If I'm not pregnant, what could it be? Am on seasonique (I have been on seasonique for about 2 years and never had break through bleeding before). If I am pregnant, is this a concern? If I'm not pregnant, what could it be?

Sadly we can't diagnose pregnancy, or bleeding issues online. You're best bet is to go to your doctor, discuss these concerns with him/her. Any answer you get online would be a guess, and a guess really won't help you with this issue.

    Good luck.

If you are pregnant, it may or may not be a concern. Sometimes there may be some spotting or bleeding in early pregnancy, and while it doesn't automatically mean a concern, the doctor or midwife should be made aware. See what the test shows and go from there.

If you are not pregnant, then it very well could be from hormonal changes associated with the seasonique, even if you haven't experienced any bleeding with it before. Have you taken it as directed or has there been any lapse? That too can cause irregular bleeding.

It if continues, it would be a good idea to mention it to your doctor so that they can decide if other possible causes should be looked into.
