    2005 maytag refrigerator problems not cooling
    Maytag Performa model # PSD262LHEB purchased Oct 2005. Compressor replaced Jan 2010. Last month, June 2014, defrost board and defrost terminator replaced. Started icing up inside freezer and refrigerator not cold a couple days ago. Replace or repair?

    It seems that whoever replaced the defrost system parts did not do something correctly. A failed defrost system will cause the problems you described. Call that repairman back and get him to fix it right. Also, make sure your coils under the unit are cleaned each six months or you will burn up another compressor. The best way to do it is to unplug the unit, remove the back, and spray the coils down with a spray soap like 409, Fantastic, or even Windex. Then spray the coils and fan blades off with a water hose nozzle and vacuum up water with a wet-vac.
