    Whole hand swolen due to insect bite
    Whilst I was sleeping I was bitten by an incest - I think it is a mosquito but I'm not sure. It bit me on my hand and now all my hand has swollen and is hot to the touch. When I put my hand into a fist it feels like I'm pulling my skin. It hurts when I touch it and is swelling more and more. I live in England. What should I do? Iv'e included some pictures of the bite too.

    It looks like a localized reaction, which is pretty common....some cover a small area around the bite, others can cover a bit more.

    Do you have any medication allergies? You may want to just ring your gp or pop in to see a chemist for suggestions on what, if anything, they would suggest. Often an antihistamine will be recommended, but do check first with your gp or the chemist first if you have any allergies. You can also try putting an ice pack on it to help the swelling. Obviously if the swelling increases, or you have any other reaction, let your doctor know.

    You are having a reaction to whatever bit you. Do you have a clinic you can go to so that they can give you medicine?
