My husband and I have been married for 14 years this September. He has been married before and has children from that marriage but this is my only marriage and we share two children. I have suffered with depression all my life and he knew this before we got married. To make a long story short, he has alienated me from all friends and family, he doesn't allow me to do anything and before anyone says that I should just do whatever I want, I have severe medical problems and cannot go to my doctor's appointments and cannot get my medication because he refuses to pay for it. He makes good money and buys what he wants, presenting us as married when it suits him, but because he refuses to give me anything I got on Medicaid for me and my two girls, for which I am now being investigated for Medicaid Fraud because I did not report his income. I realize I made a stupid decision but I was trying to take care of myself and my children because he always puts his family from his first marriage first. I have not been on Medicaid since Dec 1, 2013 so I have missed my lab work for my thyroid and diabetes in Jan, April, and now July 2014. I have no medication at all either! I have nowhere to go and no support system at all! I am too sick to fight and I am looking at jail time for the fraud which really upsets me because my oldest graduates high school this year and my younger one depends on me for everything. I am just tired and don't know where to turn. I have been diagnosed with several anxiety and depressive disorders, diabetes, chronic pain, and I have a dysautonomic disease that makes me very sick. I can't afford a lawyer and I am scared.

Move to a shelter, file for divorce, and get back on government assistance,. file for child support and have his pay garnished.

I agree with Chuck. The first thing you need is to find a local support group for abused woman. Get someone to help you deal with this creep.
