    Replace Ballcock on Toilet
I am having some real issues trying to undo the plastic nut that holds the ball cock assembly in place. My toilet is very tight to the wall and I can't seem to get Maul Grips or Pliers to undo the nut in question.

I am at my wits end and really don't want to call out a plumber for such a simple task. Can anyone out there help?

Size: 1.4 KBYou have several options here.
    - you can purchase a basin wrench, (see image) to grip the nut. **or**
2= Wrap a rag around a hacksaw blade and cut that sucker loose. Good luck. Tom

I agree with Speedball1. While cutting the nut loose may seem like an extreme, depending on how close your toilet is to the wall, it may be your only option. It certainly may be your cheapest option.
Just don't be too proud and end up creating something that harder to repair than the first problem. That happened to me and I had a plumbing company fix my toilet. But while it was expensive, I did use some coupons to soften the blow (to my wallet, that is).
