Who is the zakat payable to
Salaams,I am writing to clarify if my nephew of age 7yrs (my sisters only son) is eligible to give my zakat to.His situation is as such that his father has abandoned him depriving him of any financial aid and my sister (his mother) is a divorcée with no income.However my sister(his mother) has gold above nisab value which she pays zakat for every lunar year.My query is that is my nephew 7yrs of age eligible to receive my zakat,which will aid his welfare and education.Thanking you,Regards,Noora Abbas
