Sewage drain overflows when I used my bathroom sink
There is a pipe that runs into the ground where all the water used in my apartment drains. When I use my bathroom sink, it overflows. It is fine when I use the kitchen sink and the bath tub. I am wondering what could be causing this.

more details please! Are you talking about a sewer pipe that was into the ground? What overflows they were does it overflow from? Any other bathroom fixtures cause a backup? I need more explanation. Back to you, Tom

Sorry, I'm pretty clueless when it comes to stuff like this. I think it's a sewer pipe. It's in a room off my kitchen and I can hear water draining down into the ground when we use the shower or sinks. The overflow is coming from the floor where the pipe meets the ground. It only overflows when I use the bathroom sink.

E]I think it's the word " ground" that's confusing me, Is this pipe outside or does it run through the floor into the ground? Your sink doesn't overflow, correct? Just the drain pipe , right? Is there a joint where it's leaking from? I'm, trying to understand. Help me out. Tom
