    Hi,we are looking for a child for past 4 months
    Hi,we are looking for a child for past 4 months but my wife is still not able to conceive.each month we take notice of the ovulation and menstural. Calendar.we have sex for more than 10 days during the ovulation period of each month.The same we are continuing for the last 4 months.
    Doc, could you suggest some way for my wife to conceive.

    Has she been to her OB/GYN/ Any tests run? Sometimes it just doesn't happen. Have you been tested for sperm count?

    It can take a year or longer to get pregnant. And it may be because the man's sperm count is low and has nothing to do with the woman. Please get your sperm count and sperm motility checked.

    Four months of trying is not very long. While some couples conceive in a couple of months, it can take a healthy couple up to a year or longer to become pregnant.

    When you say that you "take notice of the ovulation and menstrual" cycle, do you mean that you are tracking her Basal Temperature and/or her cervical mucus or are you approximating when you think she is ovulating based on when she starts her period?

    It would probably be a good idea for her to have a pre-pregnancy exam to make certain she is healthy and to consult with her doctor about diet and lifestyle changes that will help her have a safer pregnancy and healthy child when she does get pregnant.

    As noted, 4 months is not a long time. First my advice is to relax. The stress of trying can affect things. My wife and I tried for a couple of years to conceive working with fertility specialists. At one point we decided to switch doctors, but couldn't get an appointment with the new doctor for a couple of months. So my wife actually relaxed figuring nothing would happen until after we saw the new doc. Well, by the time we saw him she was pregnant.

    Wait a couple of more months and if it still doesn't happen, then you both need to be tested, so you should consult with your wife's OB/Gyn.
