    Generator goes off
    Hi

I bought 7000 watt generator and today while I was connecting it to my house it went off many times, it is really new ones but I might was did the wrongly.

I ran the generator, the main house breaker was pulled down, the voltage indicator at the generator was down and when I connected the cable to the generator it went off.

I did try that while the voltage breaker is on, the same thing my generator went off

So I connected the cable to the generator before I run it, it is OK

Could you please give me an explanation on what is wrong I was doing

    Thanks

From your post I can not tell what you are doing wrong, but I can tell that you have no idea about what you are doing. Hire an electrician to do this for you.

It is a miracle that you didn't kill yourself or burn the house down. Hire an electrician.

You do have a transfer switch installed don't you? If you had a lot of items on, it could kill the generator, 7,000 watts isn't that much for a whole house.
