    Battery dies quickly
I charged the battery for 1st time this year and started the mower to check it a couple weeks ago and it started immediately. I ran it for several minutes, it was running fine and then I turned it off until today. The battery seemed to be dead so I charged it for about a half hour and the charger showed it was charged. When I tried it again in the mower it only turned over once and the battery started clicking and appeared to be dead. I hooked it up to charger and after a monute the green light came on on the charger indicating it was charged. The problem repeated and charged and repeated the situation a couple more times.

Get a volt meter and check the battery for 12.5 + volts before and after cranking, without a volt meter you will never know what it is unless you want to throw parts and money at it.
