Parental rights, husband had a child with another women
Hi my name is Natalie and my husband had a child with another women, the baby is 6 months old and I just found out, what's done is done and I feel that the baby is the most important thing right now. My husband has been providing for the child since he was born. And seeing him, his name is not on the birth certificate, however the baby does have his last name. Now she knows that I know about the baby and said that she wants him to fill out some papers, Parental rights I believe it's called, however she's had the papers for weeks and has not given them to him and is all of a sudden denying him visitation. I guess my question is what can he do? He has been seeing him almost everyday and all of a sudden she is denying him the right to. Any suggestions or input would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Natalie

The baby may be using your husband's last name but that does not mean it is legally his name. You folks should contact a lawyer who does a lot of work in this area. A paternity test may be in order because it isn't 100% that the baby is his and you may need to know this before you go to battle with the mom, yes it's coming.
