    Oral Contraceptive
    I am 19 yrs old have been in hormonal therapy for two months to regulate my cycle but I can't tract my ovulation now ,I want to start taking oral contraceptive in order to have unprotected sex,should I wait till my next period to take them?and what is the most safe time to have unprotected sex during taking the pills?

    Oral contraceptives are not 100% effective. Many women still get pregnant while taking them. Are you ready to have a child yet? Several things you need to really think long and hard about before having unprotected sex. The result will usually outlive you both.

    Oral contraceptives are not 100% effective. Many women still get pregnant while taking them. Are you ready to have a child yet? Several things you need to really think long and hard about before having unprotected sex. The result will usually outlive you both.

    They usually start being taken the Sunday following the end of your period... as a Sunday through Saturday schedule is easier to keep track of. And you aren't really procteded much until after the start of the second month of pills.

    You should follow the advice of the doctor or Nurse Practitioner who prescribed them to you.
