Bacterial Vaginosis due to yeast infection
I suffered from vaginal infection for a month now. I did consult with a gynecologist after 2 weeks of suffering from the infection because I can't bare the pain anymore. The medicines she prescribed to me were doxycycline an anti-baterial capsule and Flagystatin a vaginal suppository. I drink the capsule twice a day, seven days a week and the suppository is inserted for seven nights. However when I frist take Doxycycline I vomit.
Now, I'm done with the antibiotic and there were no discharges on my vagina. I insert the suppository for five days. My problem with the suppository is that I can't push it to the extent near to the cervix and I have leakage on my pantyliner every morning.
I've read from a blog and I consider using aloe vera gel to fight the itchiness and its effective. But I still feel some slight burn but the itchiness is gone. On the other hand, I also tried to consumed Garlic. The itchiness and severe pain starts to fade away. I'm doing a garlic drink and apply an aloe gel every night. Also I eat unsweetened yogurt every day as well.
But then my problem is will I stick to this method. The wound is still there. When I urinate, I try to avoid the fluid to cross/ touch near the wound so that it won't burned and I do wash with water after I urinate. I don't have backpain anymore and I can sit and walk properly after doing this method.
By the way, this is the first time I've experienced this. I would like to ask if the methods above could help me cure this infection. Or will I stick to one. Thanks so much.

There is no wound, the discomfort is caused the urine itself passing through, unless there is something else going on down there. I don't like the sound of the back pain you were experiencing, this to me sounds more like a urinary tract infection affecting your kidneys which must be eliminated with a series of antibiotics. Did your doctor do a urine test to detect infection in your urinary tract ? These are just my take on your problem and in no way reflect on our policy of not diagnosing on AMHD.
Get another doctor for a proper diagnosis.

The anti-biotics will take care of the infection, and the suppository will take care of the yeast infection. There is an external crème for feminine itch that can help and would be better than aloe. Aloe is good, but there is a chance that you could introduce something. I would also go for a post-treatment check up from your doctor. Ensure that everything worked and everythign is okay.

The doctor did not require me to take a urine test. I decide by myself to take a urine test to see if and there was a term acidic in my lab results. Maybe there was something else as well. When I sit for long hours that's where I experienced back pain. I will consult for another doctor.
Thanks so much.

Self-diagnosis can be very troublesome and this is why. Consulting another doctor is a good idea.

I think it's better to have a second opinion.
