MY 13 HP HAS trouble turning the starter over, so I pulled off the fly wheel an on the underside there are 5 magnet , 1 has broken off and jammed up in their. I did some reseach and it looks like its for th DC recharging, If I remove that magnet and put It back on will he mower start, I have to locate a starter as mine is fried or smells that way. Hi,
First just removing the magnet will affect the flywheel balance and the charging of the machine. Tha said, finding parts can be daunting on brands no longer made. I find that the flywheel is shown to be #611240 which changes to #611253 and the starter is #37425.
Some outlets are better than others, and some more trustworty than others. Often the least expensive place can be eBay. I found both listed as in stock at:

I in fact looked them up from a parts manual from here:
