Put up a new light fixture and keep blowing breakers.
The house is old as is the wiring. Old fixture had 2 bulbs, side by side with 2 sets of wires from ceiling. Each set has what appears to be red/purple and white/yellow, no ground. My new fixture has white/black and ground. I keep throwing breakers and no lights. Any advice?

And how have you attached the white, black and ground leads from the new fixture to the old house wiring?
