    You haven't provided enough information to provide an answer. I'm guessing that what you forgot to include is that the area of the rectangle. Hint: remember that area = length times width, so set up an equation with unknown width W and length = W+9 with area = the value you were gven, and solve for W.

    Yes, EBaines is right. The way you phrased your question could be any number -1X10 etc.
