My probation is in Key West, Fl and my mother is about to have surgery in South Carolina. I have no other family and I have 3 children. I would like to write a letter to my Judge requesting a transfer of my probation to South Carolina.

Have you applied for a transfer to your probation officer first. They will have specific forms to be filled out. If they deny you in writing, you will need to file a motion with the court to request a transfer.

I agree with Fr.Chuck, talk to your PO, and fill out the proper forms. That starts the process of transfer and moves to the state you wish to transfer to accepting and setting up a probation reporting schedule in accordance with the terms of your state.
