My wife was ordered to pay a restitution of $10,000 and put on probation for 5 yrs
My wife was ordered to pay a restitution of $10,000 and put on probation for 5 yrs with fees totaling over 3,000. We made payments the best we could. She was arrested because the courts put a warrant out for her, she didn't have to report to her PO at all and she never did anything wrong. My question is what are the chances of the judge letting her go??

If she hasn't paid the restitution as ordered, not good.

"As best we could" would indicate the debt was not paid. Yes?

A lot will depend on "how good" was "they best we could"

I would assume that at least court costs and probation fee's were paid.

The issue she needed to discuss with the court when not able to pay.
But some states will make them serve a few months to get their attention. Others just hold them a few week till a hearing and then release them

Why are you saying she 'never did anything wrong?'
Why do you both think that 'the best we could' absolves her?
If I have bald tires and worn out brakes and run over a child, am I less guilty because I didn't have the money to get new tires and fix the brakes? No - I shouldn't own a car, or shouldn't be driving until I can get it fixed.

Of course debt isn't as terrible as bodily injury or killing, but the wrong is the same.
