will I pass an EtG test 72 hours after bac=0 after 8 drinks?
I drank about 8 beers on a Friday night and had to take an EtG test the following Tuesday at approximately 72 hours after bac would have been 0. I drank the day before as well. I drank about 2 cups of coffee and 1 bottle of water before the test and urinated several times before the test. I'm 5'5 and weigh about 165 lbs, 26 years old, male. Any advice would be helpful.

When I say I drank the day before I mean the Thursday before, not the day before the test. Thank you

No one on here will be able to tell you for sure, it will depend upon a great many factors. 80 hours is usually on the high end, but you are over the 60 hours... it is still very hard to predict with any accuracy. You also add that you drank the night prior... how did you come to the point of being at 0 BAC?

If it were me in this scenario - I know what my results would be. Sounds like you may be pushing your luck on this one, to me.

What is the purpose of the test? Employment, court, etc. Is complete abstinence expected? Do you know what the cutoff level is?

Employment test. I believe the cut off is 500ng/ml. what would your results be? I have an ignition interlock so I know that my bac was 0

With 500 as the cutoff and 72 hrs. after a BAC of 0, my ETG would be negative. I'm a 5'7" female, 145 lbs. I would say your chances are pretty good.

I do not have any personal experience with that low of a cutoff level... I have only my own experience to pull from as well as medical lab tests that I have read about... at that cutoff level I have read about many "false positives" for even incidental exposure... hand sanitizers, mouthwash (of course) hair products, cleaning agents etc...

For *most* employment tests, I would assume a 500ng/mL would be more standard than 100, unless they have a very strict "no alcohol allowed" policy place of employment, or there are other extenuating circumstances...

I would be considerably more worried with a 100ng/mL cutoff level, just by nature. I am NOT in the medical profession, so anything I say is just my opinion and personal experience. Please do let us know your results.
