    Dripping Tub faucet
I have a tub faucet that drips. I have replaced the cartridge 3 times over the past few years, most recently about 4 months ago. It takes care of the problem for a while and then leaks again. I know I shouldn't have to be replacing it that often, so is there an underlying problem or are my kids being too rough? I can't really afford a plumber right now, which is why I have been trying to take care of it myself, but it's just not staying fixed.

How old is your home? What kind of water pipes? Galvanized, copper, or plastic? When you had the valve apart did you turn the water back on to flush out the supplies? Back to you, Tom
