    Perioperative pain management
    Michelle is now ready to be transferred to the operating theatre. The nurse says, “Hi Michelle, as you know, we are about to take you to theatre. Do you have any questions?” Michelle states, “Nurse, my stomach really hurts.”
    1. What are the pharmacological pain relief measures that the RN can take in this situation?
    2. What are the non-pharmacological pain relief measures that the RN can take in this situation?

    Whisper, these are the questions you must answer yourself. How else will you learn some very important lessons. I am sure our on site RN will be glad to correct your answers once you resolve them yourself.
