I missed my period last month in March. . I usually start around the 25 , but I didn't. . It is now April and I started bleeding on the 1st ? My last period was February 24 - March 1 . Anyway , I started to bleed . I've been having terrible cramps all night and day . It's a very heavy flow . I haven't really had any symptoms of pregnancy. . Except the fact that I didn't start my period in time. . I'm cramping , and been a little dizzy. . Could I just be starting my period late or having a miscarriage or even just be pregnant ? People also have been telling me that I've been looking a little bigger then usual.. Help..

Do you know the number of days in a usual cycle for you? Are you usually pretty regular?

All of your ideas on what could be the cause are possibilities. Sometimes a late period will be heavier than the norm. Sometimes a miscarriage will occur early in a pregnancy and the woman takes it as just an off period. Some women will have some bleeding in early pregnancy, but often it is not very heavy and accompanied with severe cramping. See how long this current episode of bleeding lasts.

If you continue to be concerned about the severity of cramping and heaviness of flow, you could always see your doctor to be checked. Otherwise, you could wait until next month and see what happens when you would expect your period.
