    Toilet flapper will not stay open for a good flush.
    Replaced toilet flapper. Flapper will not stay open long enough for a total flush.

    You can shorten the chain if its got too much slack or hold the handle down a little longer.

    Did you buy the exact replacement for your flush valve? I agree with the first half of smoothy's fix.

    Make sure that you have at least 1/4" of play in the linkage when the flapper's seated. Good luck, Tom
