Hi,

Recently, I was involved with this guy about a week ago and it got pretty heated. We didn't have sex but he did ejaculate, not near my vagina. He was not wearing a condom, which I heavily regret, but there was no penetration. There probably would have been some pre-ejaculate on my hands and his but it would have been small amounts and mixed with saliva as well. I am only 16, and completely terrified of ending up pregnant. My periods are always irregular, and I do sometimes miss cycles, so I never really know when it's going to happen, but I think it's been just under a month or so now. Is there a possibility I could get pregnant from the pre-ejaculate on each others hands and if so, what should I do?

I'm pretty stressed out at the moment thanks to this and I also have exam block, which is not helping at all. Should I be worried, and if so, how do I acquire things such as pregnancy tests, etc. I live in Australia and in my state, abortion is only legal if you are in physical danger apart from the already apparent dangers of pregnancy, I'm pretty sure. I have been reading online about whether you can get pregnant without penetration and apparently you definitely can, which I previously did not know. I don't know if this indicates anything about the sex education here, but it's fairly poor and I feel incredibly uneducated in the matter, considering it never occurred to me to search more than what was told to me.

If you are going to play such adult games you MUST familiarise yourself with the whole process of procreation.
While it is highly UNlikely such activity could lead to pregnancy, it's not completely impossible.

Play adult games... pay adult prices.

THe little critters that do the deed are microscopic... so you can't see where they are or how many. They only have to get from him to you by some means.

Intercourse is the usual delivery method... however fingers or anythign else that can give them a ride while they are viable will work as well.

Also consider there are millions when he ejaculates... but only one fertilizes an egg. Do the math and you see the danger.

ALso if someone told you the odds were a million to one a piece of space junk would fall out of the sky and kill you. YOu might fell pretty good unless you were that one it actually did fall on and kill.

We have several members here that actually were usung birth control... and using more than one form... and still got pregnant... one more than once. And she is a registered nurse working in that field.

Long story short... play adult games... expect to pay adult prices... and the price for this is a very high one. More so at your age.

IF either of you placed your fingers inside you very soon after they were moistened with the pre-ejaculate (a greater chance would be if he ejaculated first and had some on his fingers and then placed them inside you soon afterwards), IF enough survived to make it to the correct fallopian tube, and IF you happened to be close to ovulation, then pregnancy could be a possibility. As the others have said... odds are very, very small.

To ease your worry, wait another week or so and try a pregnancy test. You can usually find home pregnancy tests in chemists and supermarkets. You may want to reconsider allowing things to get that intimate between you and your boyfriend until you are both more educated on how your bodies work. It is far too easy to let things go further than intended in the heat of the moment.

As smoothy said, even with birth control, pregnancies can and do happen. Would you be able to deal with that possibility at 16 when you consider all that would be required in having and raising a child? Give some careful thought to it; discuss your thoughts with your boyfriend. If the two of you are not able to talk about such things, then sex should definitely be put off for a much later time.
