    Shower waste problem
Hi. I have removed a bath and am installing a shower on concrete floor. Will this then be acceptable to be tiled? The waste pipe in the floor is 40mm and the adjustable waste fitting is 50mm. I am having trouble cutting the existing waste pipe low enough in the concrete to be able to fit the fitting after using a 40 to 50mm adaptor. If I chip away enough concrete, how do I cut the pipe which is 40mm below the surface of the concrete?

    Hi Ronjan

You would use an INSIDE PIPE CUTTER and a drill...see image below. These are usually sold at all home improvement centers...;)

When plumbing a shower waste what is the required incline of the 40mm pipe to reach the soil pipe which is 2.5 m away? I have been told 18mm per 1000mm. My plumber says it needs to be 100mm per 1000mm and is using this as a reason not to plumb through joists. Is there a standards document...
