Replaced toilet gaskets... still leaking... "Flushtered in NC"
We have replaced all the parts in and on the tank, including all gaskets. We went back to the hardware store and compared our set up to the model. They are the same. We have taken it back apart and put it back together at least 6 times. It is still leaking where the tank flows into the bowl. We compared the old gasket to the new one. They are identical in shape and size, yet it is spewing large amount of water (not dripping, spewing!) from that connection when we flush.

We have repaired other toilets before but this one has us "flushtered"! Please give us some suggestions.

    Hi Buzzirk

There are two gaskets involved here...

One inside the tank under the flush valve (usually a black neoprene) and then one outside the tank (usually foam type gasket). The foam type gasket on the outside goes up tight against the toilet tank (over the nut completely).

Tighten the bolts down so the toilet tank sits down to the bowl but not so tight that the toilet tank cracks, right?

    Hope that helped
