I am in the process of replacing a cooktop. I have a 30 amp line under my slab and can't be replaced. Most new units are asking for 40 amp line. Can these units be run on a 30 amp line if you don't use total power on the unit? Is the maximum power 6.9 kw for the 30 amp line or can it go to 7.3...

I just removed a 1957 GE electric cooktop and installed the a new GE cooktop model#JP328WKWW. I got three wires come from breaker 2 black and 1 white. I use the volt meter to touch each black to the white wire, both gives me 120V. I think the 2 black is hot wires and the white one is neutral. ... View more questions Search
