Why does Hunter model 2709 fan remote turns off fan when the light button is pressed?
It was working, but now if we try to turn on the lights with the remote, it all turns off. The only way to turn the fan on is to turn the wall switch off and do not try and turn on the light

The remote turns off the fan when you press the light button. It was working correctly until the wall switch was accidentally turned off. I tried reprogramming the remote by turning off the wall switch and then pressing 1&3 like is says on the back of the remote. It will turn on the fan, but as soon as you press the light button on the remote, it all turns off

Hunter ceiling fan with remote only: light works but the fan doesn't. [ 0 Answers ]

My mom's house has a Hunter ceiling fan, (I don't know the model #), that has 4 lights and fan. It operates with a remote only. The remote will work the lights, but not the fan. When I press the fan button on the remote, I can hear a click in the fan motor, but the fan doesn't turn. Any ideas?
