Probation violation on a 4th degree felony - deferred adjudication
I got deferred adjudication on a 4th degree felony in 2009 (first offense- no trouble since ). I was to pay 15,000 in restitution and complete community service. I owe only 1300 of the restitution an am done with community service. The volition is 5 forged community service hours. I did not fake the hours but I cannot prove it. I was arrested and bonded out pending a court date. They are offering me 6 months flat state jail time, this seems like a lot to me. What should do?

Will the months end your entire sentence ? No more probation?

I say that, since if your sentence was 5 years prison for the crime, they could actually send you back for all 5 years. Actually it is not that bad a offer, BUT, if they offer that so easy, I would have an attorney to try and work out a better deal.

If you have job, you do not want to lose it, and so on. That is why attorneys will do plea bargain to get a better deal

The lawyer said that was the minimum offer, I just don't feel like he tried hard enough to get it dismissed. Big time drug lords get off with a slap on the wrist. It just seems like he should be able to get me off without jail time. Maybe more community service or fines but 6 months?

Even an assault with a deadly weapon case with a violation plead down to disorderly conduct. They hurt people, mind is a discrepancy in community service hours? It just seems wrong.
