    Help! No water
I'm at a loss, are water turned murky, and lost pressure, we changed pressure switch, and fuses, worked for a bit, then lost pressure all together. Had someone out and checked the pump, since it's only 2 yrs, it was fine, they thought a split pipe, no split. You can hear water leaking into the well, just don't know where the leak is coming from

It's a submersible. It's working, there is a leak somewhere, must be in the pipe leading into the house?

Could be, but you should notice water from that at some point. More likely you have a leaking wellpipe. That would account for the murky water. As the water runs back down the well, it picks up dirt.

How old is the wellpipe? What material? How far down is the pump?

If the pump is only two years old, did the well man replace, or at least check, the well pipe at the install?

Yes the pipe has been checked, and the wiring, now they said it might be the pitless adapter, water seems to come up as far as that, and then spills back into well. Some gets through, but pressure is low to nil

How is the pressure tank? Recently we have changed our pressure switch. Without water now for two weeks as they scratch their heads in wonder. The pressure switch was bad so they changed it. No water, they rescheduled and came back out the following week, the pressure switch again was bad, so new pressure switch. Water came to the pressure tank, but will go no further. Do you have a pressure tank? Is the pressure tank full or water getting there? I have to agree that I think your line is split somewhere.

Snow, the switch just turns the pump on at low pressure and off at high pressure. It certainly should not go bad in two weeks. Should be a simple thing to fix.

Is your pump above ground or in the well?

Janee, please let us know how it works out. If you got a lot of freezing temps, then the pitless could be the problem.
