    bought a stolen car
    Hello, my name is Andrew I live in Calgary, question: My friend bought a car in Russia, which was stolen from Canada, Toronto, without knowing it. Now he has problems with placing the car because the car is registered as stolen and claimed in the interpolation. Is it possible to get help from the insurance company in Toronto, where it was insured,to get the answer from them - what they plan to do with this car. I have all the info about the insurance company.Thank you.

    I think the DMV would be more helpful in this regard. Their records go back further.

    Was the VIN removed? This is the key to the history of the car in Canada.
