Hello, I have been thinking about a movie that I watched a few years ago. It was probably a movie from the 90s, maybe early early 2000. I remember a few scenes from the movie, but Google searches come up with nothing.

The scenes I remember involve some woman in the house who keeps hearing scratches coming from the cellar/basement. Eventually she finds a way into the basement, and see a bed with a decaying skeleton in it. It is later revealed that this ghost wasn't trying to harm her, but either help her from another demon/ghost in the house or just reliving her struggles when she was alive.

Another scene that I recall involves some sort of black liquid that turns into a hand and tries to grab the main actress.

At the very end of the film we scene the main actress at the dock with the ghost seemingly implying that she wants to take care of the ghost.

Sorry for the brief descriptions of the scenes. I'm actually afraid that they might be from more than one movie. Although any help will be much much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
